TOPIC: Echo

Echo 11 years ago #7707

Was noticing an echo in the software I was using and figured out it wasn't the software but the actual AV program. When I hit duplex I can hear the voice but right after I can hear an echo and I'm having issues trying to get it to stop.

I saw this thread:
support.audio4fun.com/discussion-forums/...3-with-lots-of-noise

And changed the default Sound Recording device from Avnex back to my Turtle Beach Mic and it doesn't help at all.

Any other tips to help get rid of this annoying echo?

Hi Melissa,
Could you please help us with more information on your PC's configuration:
  • What type of PC Desktop or laptop.
  • Operating System, Version, Patch level (e.g. Windows, XP, Service Pack 1 or 2, etc)
  • CPU Type and Speed
  • Amount of Memory.
  • Firewalls in use? If so, which?
  • What kind of your headset?
  • Have you updated your hardware driver lately?
  • Beside the AV Voice Changer Software, did you try installing another voice changing application?

Thanks in advance for your help

What type of PC Desktop or laptop. Laptop
Operating System, Version, Patch level (e.g. Windows, XP, Service Pack 1 or 2, etc) W7 HP 64 SP1
CPU Type and Speed Core 2 Duo 2.24GHz
Amount of Memory. 4GB
Firewalls in use? If so, which? No
What kind of your headset? Turtle Beach Z22
Have you updated your hardware driver lately? Yes - fresh install of OS
Beside the AV Voice Changer Software, did you try installing another voice changing application? No

I'm getting an echo on my normal voice without changing any settings and when I change my voice. When I hit duplex to test there's the echo.

Also quick question - if I buy the support plan for $20 does that mean I get a free upgrade to Diamond 8?

Does your laptop come along with a built-in mic? Try to disable it?
And can you email us the screenshots of your Sound's settings?
