TOPIC: AV Voice Changer Lag when using Ventrilo

AV Voice Changer Lag when using Ventrilo 12 years, 10 months ago #90

  • David
Hi I was wondering about one thing.

I use AV Voice Changer while using ventrilo. Everything works fine in terms of voice changing except for one thing... When I talk, it takes about 3 seconds after when I say something into my microphone for it to be projected into ventrilo.

In fact what I think is happening is that when I speak, AV Voice Changer needs a couple seconds to process and change the voice?? And only after about 2-3 seconds, can it transmit the newly processed voice? Is this what is happening??

Pretty much what I have to do while using ventrilo is hold down my speak button, speak into the microphone, and then hold the talk button down for an additional 3 seconds after I speak my words, or else it will not hear my entire message, it will be cut off.

So my question is, can i change the settings somehow so that AV VCS immediately transmits my voice? Or is this program such that it will always take a couple seconds to process the new voice once I speak into the microphone?

Do all you other users of this product know what I'm talking about (anyone who uses ventrilo or any other program)? Or is this just unique to myself?

Hi David ,

You can compare your voice before and after used VCSD with Ventrilo. Or you can test VCSD with YM.

Good luck.

For using VCS & Vent, did you try with VADmode or HookMode?

And, what type of headset you are using?

I have the same problem in Team Speak 3. I tried to VAD and hook. Hook mode interrupted sound. I use Creative Fatality. In Duplex sound is not delay.

We suggest you use VAD Mode when you work on TeamSpeak3 :

The duplex should let you hear both the original voice and morphed voice, but with your end only. The other end will not hear the reverse. So, you can try turning down the microphone volume or turn off the duplex to fix this.
