TOPIC: AVnex Virtual Audio Device Problem

AVnex Virtual Audio Device Problem 11 years, 5 months ago #7636

So I've looked around and still can't find the solution to this. In device manager, the driver has a yellow exclamation mark. Clicking on properties gives this error: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

I've tried manually installing it and I am logged in as an administrator. As far as I can tell, nothing is wrong except for the fact that the driver does not work. Attempting to update the driver also results in it saying it is already up to date.

I am using the basic version (7.0.53) on Windows 7. Please help.

Hi Mike,
Please try as suggested below to fix the problem:
- Go to Device Manager » Uninstall Avnex Virtual Audio Driver
- Reboot your PC
- Manually install the virtual driver:
Right-click on a VCSD 7.0 shortcut >> Choose Properties >> In Shortcut tab, select Open File Location >> Choose Driver folder >> Run drvinst.exe (32-bit OS) or _inst64.exe (64-bit OS) (It is recommended to Right-click » Run as Administrator) >> Wail till the MSDOS window automatically close.
