Change voice when talking on Ventrilo with VCSD 8.0

Ventrilo 3.0 is the next evolutionary step of Voice over IP (VoIP) group communications software. Ventrilo is also the industry standard by which all others measure themselves as they attempt to imitate its features.

In this tutorial, we will guide you the way to set up Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 to automatically change voice for voice communication via Ventrilo

Step 1: Switch AV Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 to Virtual Audio Device mode (VAD mode)

On Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 main panel, click Preferences to open the Preferences window.

In the Preferences window, we will change Hook mode to Virtual Audio Driver mode.

Check Virtual driver mode (1).

Click the OK button (2) to apply the new settings and close the Preferences window.

Step 2: Prepare the voice with Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0

Open Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0, choose the morphing effects for your voice, and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the output voice.

Step 3: Change Audio settings in Ventrilo

Run Ventrilo >> Setup (3) button to open Setup window.

Open Setup window
Go to Voice tab >> In Input device, choose Microphone (Avnex Virtual Audio Device).

Click OK to close Setup window.
Choose Microphone (Avnex Virtual Audio Device) in Input device


Step 4: Start voice chat in Ventrilo with the changed voice

Now you can start the voice chat session on Ventrilo with your voice changed.

Please notice that as long as the Voice Changer Software Diamond is On, the morphing effects will be applied to your voice automatically. To be back to normal instantly, you will just need to turn the voice changer software OFF.
