Using AV VCSD 9.5 with Camtasia 8 Recording Studio

Camtasia Studio is a video-based screen capturing software program. It is analogous to using a video camera to record your screen. Screen capture videos can be recorded with or without voice narration, and can be annotated after recording.

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the way to set up Voice Changer Software Diamond 9.5 (VCSD 9.5) to automatically change voice for online voice communication with Camtasia Studio.

Step 1: Switch VCSD 9.5 to Virtual Audio Device mode (VAD mode)

Note

This step is no longer required if you are using the build 9.5.21 or newer.

Since the release of Voice Changer Software Diamond 9.5.21, Virtual Audio Driver (VAD) Mode is the default and primary working method. This change is guaranteed not to impact software performance and user experience quality.

- On VCSD 9.5 main panel, click Preferences to open the VCS Preferences window.

In the VCS Preferences window, we will change Hook mode to Virtual Audio Driver mode.

- Check Virtual driver Mode (1).

- Click the OK button (2) to apply the new settings and close the VCS Preferences window.

Step 2: Prepare voice with VCSD 9.5

- Go to VCSD 9.5 main panel, choose the morphing effects and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the vocal output. There are several ways to change your voice, including voice morphing and audio effects.

- Remember to check out our Add-on store to download new and cool audio effect packs, updated regularly.

Note: Remember to choose the packs used for VCSD 9.5 only. The other ones which applied for other products cannot be used for VCSD 9.5.

Step 3: Change Audio settings of Camtasia 8 Recording

- Open Camtasia Recording.

- Click on Tools >> Options (1) to open Tools Options dialog box.

- On Tools Options.

+ Switch to Inputs (2) tab.

+ Select Audio device is Microphone (Avsoft Virtual Audio Device) (3).

+ Click OK (4) button to finish.

Step 4: Start your recording in Camtasia with changed voice

You now can start recording in Camtasia. The morphing settings for your voice are now applied

Note: While VCS Virtual Audio Driver is being set as the audio driver for Camtasia, do NOT turn off VCSD 9.5 when voice chat via Camtasia. If you don’t want to use VCSD 9.5, change the audio settings of Camtasia back to normal audio source.
