Change voice in X-Lite

INTRODUCTION:

With X-Lite, try out some of the most popular features of our fully-loaded Bria desktop client, including voice and video calls (standard definition only), messaging and presence. Whether you're having a simple voice conversation with a business associate or an in-depth discussion with a colleague over video, you’ll soon see why having a softphone on your desktop or laptop is the ultimate communications experience.

This tutorial will guide you how to use Voice Changer Software Diamond 8 (VCSD8) for changing your voice in X-Lite.

Step 1: Make sure that VAD mode is turned on

-    Run VCSD8.

-    On VCSD8 main panel, click Preferences (1) menu to open Preferences dialog box.

-    In Preferences dialog box, switch from Hook Mode to  (Virtual Audio Driver Mode (2).

-    Click OK button (3) to apply the new setting and close Preferences dialog box.

Step 2: Prepare voice with VCSD8

-    Open VCSD8, choose the morphing effects for your voice, and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the output voice.

Step 3: Configure the Audio settings in X-Lite

If you haven’t installed X-Lite yet, click here to download.

-    Run X-Lite and login to your account.

-    In main GUI of X-Lite, click on Softphone menu (1) >> Select Preference command (2).

-    On the left panel of Preference dialog, choose Devices tab (3).

-    Expand Speaker drop-down list and choose Speaker (Avnex Virtual Audio Device) option (4).

-    Choose Microphone (Avnex Virtual Audio Device) option (5) in Microphone section.

-    Click on OK button (6) to apply setup and close the dialog box.

-    Now, the morphing effect will be applied automatically.

Step 4: Start voice chat in X-Lite with the new voice
-    Now you can start voice chat session on X-Lite with the changed voice.

Note: Please notice that as long as the Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 is On, the morphing effects will be applied to your voice automatically. To change your voice back to normal, just turn off the voice changer software.
