Change voice while using AIM with Voice Changer Software Gold in VAD mode

INTRODUCE:

The new version of AV Voice Changer Software Gold has a Virtual Audio Driver (AVnex Virtual Audio Device) which works as a virtual audio & sound device. This device can be used with any VoIP application and Instant messengers for changing voice and/or recording in real-time. By setting AVnex Virtual Audio Device as the active audio driver for the microphone in those applications, you will be able to control your voice tone and speak the way you want.

What is the AIM?

AIM helps you connect with the people you care about - anytime, anywhere. AOL Instant Messenger lets you exchange quick, no-frills text messages with your buddies in a simple manner, supports video and voice chat quite nicely.

In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to use the Voice Changer Software Gold 7.0 for changing your voice in AIM application.

Requirements:

You should have AIM installed and set up probably in your computer, and an AIM account. Check detailed information from its website.

STEP 1: Change the audio settings of AIM

- Run AIM, and log in your account.

- Choose menu Edit » Settings to open AIM's settings dialog.

- In the Settings dialog box, select the Enhance IM tab (1).

- In the Audio and Video section, change the setting for Microphone to Avnex Virtual Audio Device (2).

- Click OK to finish.

From now on, VCS Virtual Audio Driver will be the main audio driver recognized by AIM.

STEP 2: Prepare the voice with AV Voice Changer Software Gold 7.0 (VCSG 7)

Run VCSG7, choose the morphing effects for your voice, and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the output voice.

Note: You should have known how to change voice using Voice Morpher feature, and other voice changing features of VCSG.

STEP 3: Start voice conversation via AIM with the changed voice

You now can do voice chat with AIM. The morphing settings for your voice will be applied automatically.

Note: While VCS Virtual Audio Driver is being set as the audio driver for AIM, do NOT turn off VCSG7 when doing voice chat via AIM. If you don’t want to use VCSG7, change the audio settings of AIM back to normal audio source.
