Using AV VCSD 8.0 with Camtasia 8 Recording Studio

Camtasia Studio is a video-based screen capturing software program. It is analogous to using a video camera to record your screen. Screen capture videos can be recorded with or without voice narration, and can be annotated after recording.

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the way to set up Voice Changer Software 8.0 Diamond (VCSD8) to automatically change voice for online voice communication with Camtasia Studio.

Step 1: Switch AV Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 to Virtual Audio Device mode (VAD mode)

- On Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 main panel, click Preferences to open the Preferences window.

In the Preferences window, we will change Hook mode to Virtual Audio Driver mode.

- Check Virtual driver Mode (1).

- Click the OK button (2) to apply the new settings and close the Preferences window.


Step 2: Prepare the voice with Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0

- Return to Voice Changer Software main panel, choose the morphing effects for your voice, and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the output voice.

Note: You should have known how to change voice using Voice Morpher feature, and other voice changing features of AV Voice Changer Software.

Step 3: Change the Audio settings of Camtasia 8 Recording

- Run Camtasia 8.

- In the welcome window, click on Record the Screen(3)  to open Camtasia Recording tool.

- Via Camtasia Recording tool.

+ Click the Audio (4) button to activate the microphone.

+ Menu Tools >> Options to open Toos Options dialog box.

- On Tools Options.

+ Switch to Inputs tab.

+ Select Audio device is Microphone (Avnex Virtual Audio Device) (5).

Change the Audio settings of Camtasia

+ Click OK (6) button to finish.

Step 4: Start your recording in Camtasia with changed voice

You now can start recording in Camtasia. The morphing settings for your voice are now applied

Note: While VCS Virtual Audio Driver is being set as the audio driver for Camtasia, do NOT turn off Voice Changer Software Diamond 8.0 when voice chat via Camtasia. If you don’t want to use Voice Changer Software 8.0, change the audio settings of Camtasia back to normal audio source.
