This tutorial will show you the way to prepare the voice for your character before you use CrazyTalk to make it talk.
Open Voice Changer Software 7.0, choose the morphing effects for your voice, and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the output voice.
Note: You should have known how to change voice using Voice Morpher feature, and other voice changing features of Voice Changer Software.
Because CrazyTalk only accepts recorded audio files to be used as the voice for the character, you will have to prepare the voice (change, morph, add effects, etc.) first and record that voice into an audio file.
You can either use the Voice Changer Software Recorder module or the CrazyTalk Sound Recorder module to do the recording task.
Option 1: Make the recording with Voice Changer Software Recorder:
Please follow this tutorial to record the voice with Voice Changer Software Recorder, the output file format after all is WAV.
Option 2: Make the recording with CrazyTalk Sound Recorder:
To keep the voice with morphed effects by Voice Changer Software, you will nee to set up the computer’s audio system to use Voice Changer Software’s Virtual Audio Device (named AVnex Virtual Audio Device) as the active microphone driver for recording in CrazyTalk.
2.1 - Change the audio settings of Windows:
Please follow this tutorial to change the settings:
- Open Control Panel >>go to Hardware and Sound.
- Choose Change system sounds.
In the Sound dialog box:
- Select Recording Tab>> choice Microphone Avnex Virtual Audio Device and Set Default
- Click OK button.
2.1 – Record the voice with CrazyTalk Sound Recorder:
Open the CrazyTalk Sound Recorder window by clicking on the Sound Recorder button.
- In CrazyTalk Sound Recorder window, click Record button >> OK
Note: Choose an appropriate sound volume for a better recording result, too high volume might create noises in your output file.
The record of your character’s voice has been done; you now can use CrazyTalk to make the animation for your character.
Good luck!
